Tales of Festival (テイルズ オブ フェスティバル) is a series of live events that act as celebrations of the Tales series. They take place annually, usually at Yokohama Arena. In recent years, due to the pandemic, they’ve been happening towards the end of the year (December), rather than in the summer (June)–although for 2023 it looks like they’re back to summer, and they’re skipping 2022.

I recently managed to snag a bunch of the BDs and currently have these:

Will be on the lookout for 2018 and the recent ones 2020+, but they are not high priority atm??

I’ve probably watched a number of the older 2000s ones but don’t remember too much out of them, if I still have them on my hard drives somewhere I might give them another watch.

Day 2 disc had an extra for a Tales of Tour thing were Zelos/Lloyd/Rita/Raven seiyuu went on a tour around Ishigaki/Okinawa. Cute!

Blab: Wow, more than 2 years since the previous one, I fully understand when Shimono was like “it took me a while to remember who the character was” in the free talk. Still didn’t find anything special to this story… and it was even less interesting this round since there was like no more actual relationship development, just all this other outside story. Like they said in the free talk, Hino’s character was lots of tsun and not really dere. And eh. XD And once again, hisashiburi Shimono-san no hiwai na koe~

Blab: Shounen-ai. One word for this: KYUN
Oh gosh, everyone was awesome in this. And stories that deal with this kind of inner conflict really hit me hard. Thus, KYUN.
I did so desperately want something more in terms of shounen-ai, but I’m okay with it as is. KYUN.

As a side-note, Kaji’s sound effect at the start of the free talk was PERFECT
DONDONPAFUPAFU!
